IGBS has gladly hosted Mr. Fred Hrkac as guest speaker during Strategic Management course for the second time. Mr. Hrkac spoke to students about strategic planning issues based on his 20 years experience in medical devices industry. He is the former President of Boston Scientific for EMEA region, headquartered in France, with Profit & Loss responsibility for almost 25% of BSC global revenue. He has also been the President of cardiac rhythm management (CRM) business unit in Sorin Group, in charge of fully integrated functions at company based in Paris, France.
He was part of the small team that led the start up of the Medical Device Business in Central/Eastern Europe for Johnson & Johnson. He has been the Vice President International at Biosense Webster, a J&J company for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
He has graduated from Wilfrid-Laurier University in Canada, and is currently living in Croatia where he is involved on certain projects. After Q&A session, the students and Professor McDougall have joined Mr. Hrkac for drinks.
